Finance Committee
The primary function of the Finance Committee is to ensure that the AABB has a transparent and effective accounting and auditing system to ensure the Association’s strong financial position. This committee is responsible for reviewing financial reports, review policies and making recommendations to the Board of Directors and Officers to guide the financial administrative process to ensure the financial health of the Association. This committee analyzes investments of the AABB in relation to actual market conditions and formulates recommendations for possible changes in designated investments. The committee’s members always include the Board Treasurer and at least two additional Board Members who are elected by the Board.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is made up of at least three members of the Board of Directors; the Director and two elected members of the Board of Directors. These members have the authority jointly to act on behalf of the Board of Directors if immediate action is required but must report said action within 48 hours to the Board. This committee has the responsibility of reviewing reports and responding to unforeseen situations to support the operation of the AABB. The Executive Committee serves to provide additional support to the Officers of the AABB. All of its members are members of the Board of Directors.
International Relations Committee
The International Relations Committee is responsible for improving public relations of the AABB with the world to amplify awareness and recognition of Biomagnetism and Bioenergetic Therapies within a global context. This group is also responsible for advancing the mission and the vision of the AABB in foreign countries – outside of the US. Members include the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors and at least two additional elected members of the Board of Directors as well as two additional volunteers. Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee reviews applications and the qualifications of candidates being considered for the position of President of the AABB, membership in the Board of Directors, Committees, Honorable Membership and for Awards presented during the Annual Meeting. The Nominating Committee is responsible for maintaining an updated list of vacant positions and must present these during Board Meetings. A list of candidates must be submitted to the Officers of the AABB for approval and the final list must be presented to the Board of Directors for a vote. The AABB seeks diversity, both cultural and professional in the representation of its volunteers and the various posts.
Members of the Nominating Committee must be members of the Board of Directors and must have a clear understanding of the functions and responsibilities of each committee, the Board of Directors, the President of the Association in order to carry out their role.
Scientific Program Committee
The Scientific Program Committee is responsible for determining the educational activities offered in the program of the Annual Meeting. This Committee is also responsible for recruiting presenters, sponsors and donors for the Annual Meeting with the help of the Administration of the AABB in its execution. This committee is also responsible for planning a biannual or periodic course focusing on the development of young professionals interested or committed to research. The course engages select residents, research scholars and members of universities or institutes. Participants represent various fields of alternative medicine and most will not have previously developed research studies or received financial compensation for such activities. These courses are intended to attract young professors, scholarship recipients or graduate students.
